Artist Statement

I am interested in where art, agency, wellbeing, community and environment collide. I am also curious about the radical power of growing food as art practice and political act. As I continue to explore, search and seek out new ways of bringing these ideas together, I find myself returning to art as a force for transformative social change.

I work across disciplines, often in collaboration, splicing together ideas, images and words. The artwork reveals itself in nature, at the table, in conversation and through the gamification of spaces:

Urban Garden Days create spontaneous communities, bonded by the collective effort of nurturing the land. Thought-provoking supper clubs interrogate food systems, how we consume and nurture our souls. Collage and collective papermaking connect disparate entities in wholeness.  Video installations and library takeovers transform dusty spaces into magical worlds of light, sound and scent.

Through my practice I seek to cultivate connection, dialogue, and access to a more open and imaginative world.
